Abraham was justified by his faith in the Lord before he was called to be circumcised. His faith led to works but only as fruit of his faith, not seeking to please God through works. David experienced the grace of God after falling into sin with Bathsheba… his works did not save him in fact they would have condemned him had he not found grace in the Lord. The Apostle Paul continues to lay out different perspectives for us to grasp and celebrate the goodness of God’s grace compared to the weakness of our works.
