During Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem the people took branches of palm trees and shouted, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! The King of Israel!” Less than a week later they called out, “crucify Him!” In a similar way the Apostle Paul was concerned that the Corinthians would soon be deceived and follow after another Jesus because of false teachers – “Super Apostles” that came in promoting their “wisdom” causing their minds to be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
