Matthew 3 and 4 bring us to the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry. John prepares the way, calling people to repentance and baptism, giving Pastor Carl an opportunity to look at the ten different baptisms found throughout Scripture and the important theme of identification. Then Jesus is baptized, tempted in the wilderness, begins preaching, and calls His first disciples. The King has come, and His ministry has begun.
