The vision of the valley of dry bones point to our lives as Christians… once dead in our sins now brought to life by the blood of Christ and the breath of the Holy Spirit! However the main focus is the regathering and salvation of Israel after sure death.

Two sets of mountains, one that will receive judgment and the other that has received judgment but will now receive restoration! There is hope for Israel for the Lord’s name sake.

Part of Israel’s problem was their shepherds… out for their own gain and not caring for the flock, teaching what is wrong and calling what is good evil. The Lord Himself will lead His flock, the lost sheep He will seek and find! But the sheep and goats will all be judged individually, it’s not…

Ezekiel is called to be a watchman, to warn Israel of immanent judgment from God. But will they listen. As Christians we also have a warning to whoever will listen – “Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” And yet, when we repent we find mercy at the foot of the cross.

Psalm 1 tells us to be like a tree planted by the water… meditating on the law of the Lord day and night. Assyria did NOT meditate on the Lord. Neither did Egypt (who was comparing herself to the might of Assyria). The pride of self-made men and nations will be brought low.

The power behind the prince of Tyre is the king of Tyre, none other than the shifty serpent himself! Pastor Carl reviews the description given of Satan before his fall, and the pride that brought him (as well as worldy kings and leaders).

The sword is sharpened and shined up, ready for judgment against Jerusalem. The furnace is turned up and ready to sift Israel. The Lord is looking for any leader to stand in the gap, He finds none!
