Psalm 1 tells us to be like a tree planted by the water… meditating on the law of the Lord day and night. Assyria did NOT meditate on the Lord. Neither did Egypt (who was comparing herself to the might of Assyria). The pride of self-made men and nations will be brought low.

Samaria and Jerusalem are two “harlot sisters” representing Israel’s heart going after foreign gods and forsaking the God of their fathers. Ezekiel declares the Lord’s judgment on them as well as specifically Jerusalem as a pot of non-edible soup. And the loss of Ezekiel’s wife as a warning to Jerusalem as well.
Revelation 13
The Beast from the sea and the Beast from the earth both appear to draw people away from the truth. Bill Hepner describes the ramifications for those dwelling on Earth at this time in history. The Word of God gives us what we need to proclaim the truth and warn others before it’s too late!
