A lioness representing Judah and her two cubs representing two kings of the southern kingdom and described as “Prices of Israel” are taken captive because they wondered from the Lord. Jehoahaz and Jehoiakim are those cubs and the leaders of the Jews don’t seem to remember what happened and why. The Lord lifts up a lamentation regarding Israel, their constant rebellion and yet He is still faithful to complete what He promised!
