The book of Ezra ends with Ezra arriving to a situation requiring substantial discipline on the people of Judah. Once again Israel has followed after the gods of the surrounding people groups and became “unequally yoked with unbelievers” they intermarried and had children… all causing the people to drift away from their fellowship with the Lord. But there was hope as hearts were convicted and the people did “works befitting repentance”.
